Tim Allen Short biography
Tim Allen is an American actor, comedian, and voice actor. He is best known for his roles as Tim "The Toolman" Taylor on the ABC sitcom Home Improvement (1991–1999) and Mike Baxter on the ABC/Fox sitcom Last Man Standing (2011–2021). He has also voiced Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise and played Scott Calvin and Santa Claus in The Santa Clause franchise.
Allen was born in Denver, Colorado, on June 13, 1953. He began his career as a stand-up comedian in 1975 and moved to Los Angeles in 1981 to pursue acting. He rose to fame in the late 1980s and early 1990s with roles in films such as Tropical Snow (1988) and The Shaggy Dog (1991). He has since starred in several films and television shows, including Galaxy Quest (1999), Christmas with the Kranks (2004), and Crazy on the Outside (2010).
In addition to his acting career, Allen is also a successful author and has written two books, Don't Stand Too Close to a Naked Man (1994) and I'm Not Really Here (1996).
