Beginning her career as a 'scream queen' in horror films like 'Halloween' (1978), she successfully transitioned to comedy and action with films like 'Trading Places' (1983) and 'True Lies' (1994). Her diverse career includes roles in 'Freaky Friday' (2003) and 'Knives Out' (2019). She won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' (2022) and is also a best-selling children's author.
