Louisa Jacobson Gummer, born June 12, 1991, in Los Angeles, is an American actress and the youngest daughter of Meryl Streep. She graduated with an MFA in acting from the Yale School of Drama after attending Vassar College. Using the professional name Louisa Jacobson, she began her career in theatre in 2017, earning critical acclaim for roles in productions like "Native Son" and "Romeo and Juliet." Jacobson rose to prominence with her television debut in HBO's period drama "The Gilded Age" (2022–present), which earned her a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination alongside the cast. Her career also includes assistant directing and an upcoming film role. In June 2024, she publicly identified as queer.
