Stephen Graham Short biography
Stephen Graham is a British actor known for his facility with accents and character work. He made his debut in 1990 in 'Children's Ward' and gained early recognition in British television and films like 'Snatch' (2000) and 'Gangs of New York' (2002). His prominent roles include Andrew 'Combo' Gascoigne in the 'This Is England' film and subsequent TV series, and Al Capone in 'Boardwalk Empire' (2010-2014). He received a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor for his work in 'Boiling Point' (2021) and won a British Academy Television Award for Best Supporting Actor for 'Time' (2021). In 2025, he co-created and starred in the critically acclaimed Netflix series 'Adolescence,' for which he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series.
