Erin Doherty Short biography
Erin Rachael Doherty (born July 16, 1992) is a British actress from Crawley, West Sussex, England. Of Irish heritage, she initially displayed talent as a footballer, even captaining the Crawley Wasps and being scouted by Chelsea Women, before ultimately choosing a career in acting. She trained at the Guildford School of Acting and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2015. Doherty is known for her roles across stage and screen, gaining international recognition for her portrayal of the young Princess Anne in the Netflix drama The Crown (2019–2020) and for her Emmy-winning performance in the 2025 limited series Adolescence.
