Rachel Anne Sennott (born September 19, 1995) is an American actress, comedian, and screenwriter, recognized as one of the most acclaimed millennial comedian-actors of her generation. She was born and raised in Simsbury, Connecticut, where she grew up in a Catholic family with her parents, Donna and Jack Sennott. After graduating from Simsbury High School in 2014, Sennott moved to New York City to attend the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU), where she studied acting and began performing regularly at live comedy open mic sessions. She graduated from NYU in 2017 and later received training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Sennott initially gained widespread attention through her short-form, self-aware comedy sketches on Twitter, which served as the launching pad for her distinctive comedic voice.
