Matthew Rhys Evans, born November 8, 1974, in Cardiff, Wales, is a Welsh actor fluent in his native language. After training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, he rose to prominence with roles in television dramas. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Kevin Walker in "Brothers & Sisters" and, most notably, Philip Jennings in "The Americans," for which he earned an Emmy Award. His film credits include "Titus," "The Post," and "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood." More recently, he starred in HBO's "Perry Mason." Rhys is also known for his philanthropic work and is married to actress Keri Russell.
