Zion Williamson is an American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He plays the power forward position. Williamson was born on July 6, 2000, in Salusbury, North Carolina. He played one season of college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils before being drafted by the Pelicans as the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Williamson has quickly become one of the most popular and exciting players in the NBA, known for his athleticism, dunking ability, and high-scoring games.
