Hedi Slimane Short biography
Hedi Slimane (born 1968) is a French fashion designer, photographer, and art director. Renowned for his razor-sharp tailoring, skinny silhouettes, and rebellious aesthetic, he has left an indelible mark on the fashion world. His career spans across some of the industry's most prestigious brands, including Dior Homme, Yves Saint Laurent, and Celine, where he served as creative director.
Born in Paris to a Tunisian father and Italian mother, Slimane's artistic side blossomed early. He discovered photography at 11 and began sketching clothes soon after. He studied political science before immersing himself in fashion, later graduating from École Supérieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode (ESMOD).
