Barbara Corcoran is an American businesswoman, investor, consultant, author, and television personality. She is best known for being a 'Shark' investor on the ABC TV program 'Shark Tank,' which began airing in 2009. Corcoran is also the founder of The Corcoran Group, a successful real estate firm that she sold for $66 million in 2001.
