Alfred Hitchcock Short biography
Alfred Hitchcock was an English film director, screenwriter, and producer widely regarded as one of the most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. Known as 'The Master of Suspense', he directed over 50 films during his 60-year career, specializing in suspense and psychological thrillers with a distinctive blend of gallows humor. His notable works include 'Psycho', 'Vertigo', 'Rear Window', 'North by Northwest', and 'The Birds'. Hitchcock was also a pioneer in television with 'Alfred Hitchcock Presents'. He became a U.S. citizen in the mid-1950s and was knighted in December 1979.
