Jack Gleeson Short biography
Jack Gleeson is an Irish actor, born on May 20, 1992, in Cork, Ireland. He achieved international recognition for his compelling portrayal of the tyrannical King Joffrey Baratheon in HBO's hit fantasy series "Game of Thrones," appearing in 26 episodes from 2011 to 2014. Prior to this breakthrough, he had roles in films such as "Batman Begins" and the Irish series "Killinaskully." Following his departure from "Game of Thrones," Gleeson announced a semi-retirement from acting, focusing on academia and co-founding the Collapsing Horse Theatre Company. He has since returned to acting, performing on stage and in the 2020 BBC miniseries "Out of Her Mind."
