Rayne Dakota "Dak" Prescott is an American professional football quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. Born on July 29, 1993, in Sulphur, Louisiana, he played college football at Mississippi State, where he set numerous school records. The Cowboys selected Prescott in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He unexpectedly became the starting quarterback as a rookie after Tony Romo's injury, leading the team to a 13-3 record and earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
