Tua Tagovailoa, born March 2, 1998, in 'Ewa Beach, Hawaii, is an American professional football quarterback. After a standout high school career, he became a collegiate star at the University of Alabama, leading the Crimson Tide to a CFP National Championship in 2018 and earning numerous accolades like the Maxwell and Walter Camp Awards. In 2020, Tagovailoa was drafted fifth overall by the Miami Dolphins. He quickly established himself in the NFL, leading the league in passer rating in 2022 and passing yards in 2023, which earned him his first Pro Bowl selection. In 2024, he signed a significant 4-year, $212 million contract with the Dolphins. Off the field, Tagovailoa is an evangelical Christian, married with a son, and actively involved in philanthropy through his Tua Foundation.
