Christian McCaffrey Short biography
Christian McCaffrey, born June 7, 1996, in Castle Rock, Colorado, is an American professional football running back. Following in his NFL father Ed McCaffrey's footsteps, Christian excelled at Stanford University, where he set an NCAA record for all-purpose yards in a season and was a Heisman Trophy finalist. Drafted 8th overall by the Carolina Panthers in 2017, he quickly became known for his elite versatility, achieving a rare 1,000 rushing and 1,000 receiving yards season in 2019. After injuries limited his time with the Panthers, McCaffrey was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2022, where he experienced a career resurgence. In 2023, he led the NFL in rushing yards and total touchdowns, earning First-team All-Pro honors and leading the 49ers to Super Bowl LVIII. He is married to Olivia Culpo.
