Ming-Na Wen Short biography
Ming-Na Wen is a celebrated American actress born in Coloane, Macau, on November 20, 1963. After immigrating to the United States in her early childhood, she pursued theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. Her diverse career began in television before she rose to prominence with roles in "The Joy Luck Club" and as Dr. Jing-Mei Chen in "ER." Wen achieved global recognition as the iconic voice of Fa Mulan in Disney's animated films and various other projects. She cemented her status as a genre favorite playing Agent Melinda May in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and later joining the "Star Wars" universe as Fennec Shand in "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett." Wen is fluent in three languages and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2023.
