Nick Reiner Short biography
Nick Reiner (born September 14, 1993) is an American screenwriter and the son of filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner. He grew up in Los Angeles within a prominent entertainment family; his grandfather was the legendary comedian Carl Reiner. Reiner's early life was marked by significant personal challenges, including long-term struggles with substance abuse and periods of homelessness across several states, including Maine, New Jersey, and Texas. He began attending rehabilitation facilities at the age of 15 and reportedly underwent at least 17 different treatment programs during his youth.
In December 2025, Reiner was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder following the deaths of his parents at their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles.
