Allyson Felix Short biography
Allyson Felix (born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles, California, U.S.) is a retired American sprinter who excelled in the 100-meter, 200-meter, and 400-meter events. She is the most decorated female Olympian in track and field history and is also the most decorated American track and field athlete overall. Felix began her track career in ninth grade at Los Angeles Baptist High School, where she quickly made a name for herself. After graduating in 2003, she turned professional and signed with Adidas, choosing to forgo collegiate eligibility. However, her college tuition at the University of Southern California was covered, and she later earned a degree in elementary education. Allyson Felix is the daughter of Paul Felix, an ordained minister and professor, and Marlean Felix, an elementary school teacher. She has one older brother, Wes Felix, who was also a sprinter and later became her agent.
