Mikhail Prokhorov is a Russian oligarch and politician known for being the former owner of the Brooklyn Nets. He is also the former chairman of Polyus Gold, the biggest gold producer in Russia. Prokhorov made his money by acquiring the formerly state-owned Norilsk Nickel and turning the company into a massive global energy conglomerate.
