Bradley Whitford Short biography
Bradley Whitford is an American actor and producer, best known for his Emmy Award-winning role as White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman on NBC's political drama series "The West Wing." Born on October 10, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, Whitford graduated from Wesleyan University and The Juilliard School. He began his career in 1985 with appearances in television series such as "The Equalizer" and "All My Children," as well as the film "Dead as a Doorman." Whitford has since starred in numerous acclaimed TV shows, including "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," "Transparent" (earning another Emmy), "The Handmaid's Tale" (winning a third Emmy), and "Trophy Wife." His notable film credits include "The Cabin in the Woods," "Get Out," "Godzilla: King of the Monsters," and "The Post." He was married to actress Jane Kaczmarek from 1992 to 2010, and later married his "Transparent" co-star Amy Landecker in 2019. Whitford is also a prominent political activist, serving on the boards of Let America Vote and Citizens' Climate Lobby.
