Ray Dalio is an American billionaire hedge fund manager, investor, and philanthropist. He is best known for founding Bridgewater Associates, the world's largest hedge fund. Dalio has been credited with popularizing such commonly used practices as currency overlay, portable alpha, and risk parity. He is also the author of several books on investing and business, including the bestseller Principles: Life & Work.
