Naguib Sawiris is an Egyptian businessman and politician with a net worth of US$2.9 billion as of March 2024. He made his fortune in the telecommunications industry, first as chairman and CEO of Orascom Telecom Holding and later as chairman of Weather Investments. He has also made significant investments in other sectors, including real estate, media, and technology. Sawiris is also known for his political activities. He founded the liberal Free Egyptians Party and has been an outspoken critic of the Muslim Brotherhood.
