Daniel Dae Kim Short biography
Daniel Dae Kim, born August 4, 1968, in Busan, South Korea, is a South Korean-American actor, producer, and activist. Moving to the U.S. at age two, he established a prolific career in television and film after earning degrees from Haverford College and NYU. Kim is widely recognized for his starring roles as Jin-Soo Kwon on "Lost" (2004–2010) and Chin Ho Kelly on "Hawaii Five-0" (2010–2017). His diverse filmography includes "Spider-Man 2," "Crash," "Hellboy," and voice work in "Raya and the Last Dragon." As the founder of his production company 3AD, he's an executive producer for "The Good Doctor." An advocate for Asian American rights, Kim is also known for his activism against xenophobia.
